Here are a few pics that I was asked to post for Kathie .






The little black heifer was born last Saturday; out of a high percentage BA cow (even though she's red). The little speckled fella is out of over-marked British White cow and he was born yesterday. Several more to go . . . . All calves this year are by a Black Galloway bull. So far, about 55 lbs. each

Nice pics. Love the running "action shot", tail was in the air and the whole bit. Whoever coined the phrase "cuter'n a speckled pup" could have said "calf", that marked one is a cutie. My cows are jealous of your cows, they look like they eat better...

Thanks, everyone. And thanks for posting for me, Hillsdown. Our girls are easy keepers -- too easy. The big white cow out front on the left in the group picture -- she gets calories from fresh air! She is likely going to butcher cow heaven this year. We didn't preg check, but I'd almost bet a paycheck that she was too "overconditioned" to even conceive.

MO_cows, I like that speed shot, too. Love those young ones on the 2nd or 3rd day when they finally figure out what their feet are for. Fly-Guy, I said the same thing -- "Looks like a Longhorn." But he's not.
