Posting help?

Not sure where to put this, figured here would be good.

When I type a post ether as a new post, or a reply; and my post goes beyond the size of the box the cursor stays at the bottom. But what is actually viewed in the box stays the same.

So I am typing in the dark, I can scroll down to view it, but if I try to type or move the cursor to fix my typos the view jumps back up. I tried to move the arrow on the side of the box down and it just jumps back up. I move the arrow on the side of the screen and that doesn't help. I have tried every combination/trick I could think of.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Thought i'd messed up every way that could be,but don't think I've done that--There has been trouble with the site before tho..
What size is your zoom level??
I was having trouble with a jigsaw site,the puzzle would roll like a tv with a bad vertical hold button!

CindyLea, welcome to the board. Seems the board has been plagued with a small problem lately. But if I understand what you are describing I believe it can be fixed.

Click the "tools" button on your browser toolbar.

then choose "compatibility view setting" and add "Cattletoday.com" to the list.

It did the trick for me.

Thanks Vett..I have been here for years as you know and that has plagued me for ages, I have added that to tools and hope it works. all these years and still :compute: illiterate.

Your welcome. I started having the problem after updating the latest explorer browser. Stumbled across the fix while going thru some troubleshooting pages at Microsoft.

Hey Vette thanks I have been having problems when doing a post quote as it would scroll down and as soon as I posted it would scroll up the same as was mentioned. I thought it was my new lt and windows 7 but this is the only site that I have a problem with. I will give it a try ..

I didnt even know that was an option under tools.
