Help Support CattleToday:

Dad worked for Ben Roberts out on the Sweetwater, and he didn't really know how many cows he had. Probably around 12,000. He always said he would rather have two skinny cows than one fat one. Dad finally had to get away from there, that crowd drank a lot; they drank 7&7 mostly. There would be a table full of drinks, and by the end of the night it would still be full. You just picked up a drink when you needed one, and you bought a round when you thought it was your turn. Dad then went over to Warren's Livestock; he said that was the best place he ever worked for.

Had to have a count to fill out USDA paperwork for drought relief . Didn't have a clue how many we had . Surprised me . I always say close to 200 but we were over that counting calves we sold earlier .
