Assuming good charge and calm cattle on decent grass. Also, no other cattle on neighbor's fields. I'm planning on trying out a rotational grazing system on a weekly rotation. should I start w/ single strand or just assume I'll need to run a couple strands around 8-10 acre paddocks?

Single strand 28-32 inches above the ground. Depends on if you have little calves in the mix. 28 inches for real young babies. That is assuming they are trained to hot wire. If they aren't, make small enclosure around a water point with only a 6-8 foot wide openeing and leave it set up for a couple of days. They will learn in that time and not have issues when you move them
