I have three springs that flow into the pond that my cattle use for
water and to keep cool . I would like to build a small catfish pond
fed by two of the springs. The out flow still has to go to the pond
the cattle will use. I'm not sure if this will create a problem for the
cattle. thank you

I have catfish, bass, crappy, and bait fish and never has caused a problem. Put the fish in.

The only problem that I see is too many people build ponds so that the spring head is flooded. In some cases if the head of water has enough pressure it will force the spring down and will drain part of the pond depending on how far under water the springhead is. But fish in the pond is great, fishing and snapper shooting both at the same place.

The only reason I know about it is because when we bought this place there was a dry pond with just a little water at the bottom. When we'ld get a heavy rain it would come up abit then suddenly go back down to the old level. We tore the dam out and used it for fill. Let the spring trickle down into a pond below it. Worked great for us
