I guess I forgot that they are both still political.

Anyway it was not my intention to politicize the 600,000 hunters thread. I was stupid enough to think that nationalism was different than Liberal vs. Conservative.

.....and of course there is always the 600lb Gorilla in the room religion........eh Nesi!

but as I said that was not my intention I just went down the rathole because it was there and so easy to do.......

MY APOLOGIES!

Yep, and I too should apologize for even bringing up that unfortunate incidence when the Swiss had to surrender to the French, especially in light that I neglected to mention that later, the elite French force had to surrender to a much smaller and hastily raised Mexican peasant army at the battle of Pueblo on Cinco de Mayo.
It's kinda like when an undefeated team is beaten by a mediocre team, then the mediocre team is beaten by a really bad team which, due to strength of schedule and quality wins, results in the really bad team claiming to be the #1 team.
Jeff Long, Alan and MDash5 can explain all that better than I can.

GB, France is the most South East of the countries in question. So it's obvious that just their ability to still claim sovereignty no matter how many times they've lost, causes them to be considered a higher super power. They can only be dethroned by another South and East country.
