Long range forcast for the Plains says our Canadian friends are going to send in south early again this fall.

We have been getting rain about every other day, including 3 to 5.5 inches of rain this morning, so I can hardly wait till it turns to snow.
 
As I sit here, dripping sweat, with a boat-load of tomatoes that need picking, its hard for me to think about snow ------- but a pleasure to think about it!

As for Polar Vorexes ----if another is on the way, I guess we'll just have to hunker down and deal with it as best as possible. (yeah, I know, easy for me to say 'cause I'm not in Minnesota)

Wow, that's a lot of rain in a short time.. The most i've seen is 12" in 24 hours, and that was a misery.

Humility doesn't grow grass!

I saw 11" in 6 hours, and most of it came down in the 2 hours, now that is a rain.
