Have a type of pneumonia that is going through the herd now. Calves are still on the cows but when it hits they go off feed, droopy ears , runny nose, they are running a fever. Don't respond very well to Nuflor. Vet says it is a viral pneumonia not bacterial and there isn't much that will work 100% just don't put them under stress that will make it worse.Anyone else have this problem and how did you treat it. I haven't lost any so far but I know my neighbours have lost some. The weather isn't making it any better as turned cold with wet snow.

We've only had a summer pneumonia around here.. At the time (25 years ago) we tried LA200, which did nothing.. lost a number of our best cows to it.. Only had 1 yearling heifer that survived it, and she was never right after that.. always had a cough, and when we butchered her her lungs were in bad shape. We think it was viral and from the horses from the previous owner.. haven't had it in 20 years now.

Hope you find a solution to it
