Plug in Teat.

When we raised sheep, the ewe would have a waxy plug in the teat. On rear occasions, you would have to milk the ewe to free up the teat. Especially if the lamb was weak and couldn't suck the plug out. Does this occur in cattle?

Well, actually, it's different. A mare & ewe do get a waxy plug prior to birth. A cow will have her teat blocked - sometimes almost like a scab. And yes, it can occasionally be hard for a weak calf to open them up - but pretty rare.
