My mom fell and broke her hip. Clogs hung on the carpet and down she went. Any heads up on how hard this is to recover from? Thanks in advance.

One of my nearest neighbors fell about 3 months ago and broke her hip and back at the same time--she's in her late 80s and has been back home at least 2 months and is getting around pretty good with the help of a walker.

I hope your mother heals well. I don’t know anything about the injury. I have been through a lot in the last 5 years with my elder parents. All I can say is that modern medicine can keep them going against all odds. Whether it improves the quality of life is doubtful sometimes.
