Help Support CattleToday:

I have them outside the barn. Are they hollow in the middle?

Dun told someone on the boards what it was. The reason I asked if it was hollow is because they will freeze all up inside in winter. It isn't poke salad. (or however you spell it)

Dun! Where are you???

i might take that back. i'm not sure if they are hollow or not. i was thinking yes, but then i looked at it today and some of them have woody type stalks from a couple of winters that are still about 8 feet high. they seem to spread underground as well as i by seed and come up each year from the root. i'm not 100% sure that they have hollow stalks.
