Wouldn't interest me; I'd be 'going backwards' in my breeding program.
I can point you at a dozen or more good purebred Simmental bulls that'll beat him on CE/BW, WW/YW, MCE, CW, Mrb, RE, API & TI in a total package.

Please let me reclarify what I'm trying to gain in terms of information. The EPD's listed would be the resulting heifer calf's EPD's... This calf is a real calf (see my first calf of 2012 thread). I didn't choose the bull. I bought the heifer already bred... :)

I will put my answers in bold --that's why the other day I asked you what she looked like on paper --I see you found the planned mating. Many times on a first calf heifers some folks will just breed her to a decent calving ease sire to get her ready for a future of serious production -- might as well make her first calving an easy one as her first calf wont ever (usually) be as good as her future calves.

An individual with this many deficiencies is difficult to turn around and as a PB Simm and Simm/Angus breeder, I would sell her at weaning.

I have some Simm/Angus heifers for sale annually, if you are interested-- let me know.
Here is an example of a Fall 2011 1) Bull calf and a 2) Heifer calf that we normally have available for sale private treaty.

1) DOB 9/11/2011 (BLK) 3/4SA API: 156 TI: 85 2606978
https://herdbook.simmental.org/simm...ntSubmit_displayAnimal=T&animalNumber=2606978

and

2) DOB 10/16/2011 (BLK) 3/4SA API: 151 TI: 84 2606992

What angus bull is she out of? Pasture bred? Numbers are numbers look at her at weaning if you like her breed her to something to increase the #s and over time they may increase some on there own. The 701T bull on the other post has good #s but hes to short on frame for me but thats why they have chocolate and vanilla ice cream everybody doesnt like the same things.

PB SImm and Percentage Simm aren't short on frame and we are always looking for those types of good individuals that will help us cut some of the frame down.

JS, do you any pictures of the heifers? are they red or black? Black seem to sell best on commercial cattle, though I'm not sure about on the purebred ones...

These were just examples of calves born in 2011. Their color is on the top of their papers. The Bull was already sold the day he was born.
Heifers will be videoed in the Spring and put on various sale websites.

Brangus, Charbray etc are crossbred bulls which are now known as a breed and has associations. Some breeds started off from crossing 2 breeds.
Those are stabalized composites, not crossbreds.

But arrived at by breeding two crossbreeds.
