Pikes/crappies last weekend.

Last weekend was the last day for pike season. My dad and I do a good job on pikes and crappies. Fried fish supper was amazing!

Biggest pike of this season.....28" and she went back in the water

Apparently you don't need a big bait to catch a big fish....this 27" pike slammed on an euro larvae meant for sunfish.

That would be my dad! He took a pic of me and my fish. Yup we caught them thru the ice. Northern pike tastes better in winter than in hot summer days tho....more firm and less fishy flavor.

deepsouth , they take that house on the ice a drill a hole in the ice and fish, then after they take its picture they drop it back in the hole. Now im sure some will say that some feller from florida don't know nothing bout ice fishing and that's true but I do live in the 21st century and have a super power of common sense.

Here is our fish house. You can see the generator lol. We have a bunk bed, a stove, a 30" flat screen, five holes to fish into and a propane heater.

I forget that I had this pic back in Dec when a freak rain melted all snow....no worries the ice is only 15" thick enough to support a ton truck. It did freak out my mom when she saw the pic haha

As for the ceiling fan, the fish house tends to get too hot....just same reason why you need one in your house lol

These ice castle M-5 posted is the fancy types I am talking about. It has everything, including a bathroom, a big kitchen, a refrigerator, three bunk beds and depends on the size of the ice castles, 7 to 10 ice holes. You can fit 12 people in these fancy ones and have few beers all night. My fish house can barely hold 4-5 people but that's fine with me! More fish for me then.
