I noticed my head gate lock was broken/missing. I called Pifert to order a new part and was told that my 1985 Pifert warranty will still be honored, no questions asked. The part is on It's way, FREE. They are a Company that will continue to get my business.

I bought one of their first economy model chutes and mounted my old self catch headgate on it. They at the time didn;t sell them that way and it turned out there was a gap between the headgate and the foor of the chute that was just big enough to wedge a calvfs foot in it and and bind the headgate so it wouldn;t open. I fixed it with a 2x4 bolted across the gap. A short time later I was talking with the Priefert rep and told him about it, he told me to get someone to weld a plate across the gap and end the bill to Priefert and they'ld pay it. I didn;t bother but after 7 years I sold the old chute and gate and the guy that bought it hored a mobile welder to come out and weld some thick plate across the opening. I mentioned it to me and I told him what the rep had said. He sent them the bill and darned if they didn;t send him the money to cover the cost. Too bad more American companys can;t be like Priefert and Ruger!

I agree with you on Priefert. Ruger went to crap on customer service. I'm done with them.

Our county extension agent won a model 04 with the carriage trailer and its a nice rig, free use for all county residents. Ruger Firearms lost me years ago. Had a model 77 that just wouldn't shoot straight no matter what I tried.

County agent didn't win it, the Three Rivers chapter of the Ga. Cattleman's Association did by virtue of enrollment increase.
