The pictures are a little grainey due to light behind the show. Sorry, still hope you enjoy!

Nice pictures! Nice animals you've got there and looks like your son knows how to handle them! Your son is dressed nicely, too. Always a plus for showmanship. We don't get to wear those hats in the ring down here, but I sure wish we did. Congratulations again on his win! :) Showmanship is always the best part, in my opinion. If you make sale (with the steers, that is) it's always a nice plus. But the biggest reward is knowing that you've worked hard with your animal and that the judge can tell it when you get in that ring. These are some nice examples of your herd. I have to say that the animals I've seen come out of your herd have given me a new appreciation for Longhorns. :D

I know, I say silly things sometimes. But hey...he showed a steer. And you can't show steers in opens. So I had some idea what I meant, don't I?

Oh yeah, it was down right cold!! They relaxed the dress code, so the exhibitors could keep their coats on.

Kelly only showed in the youth classes. In our shows, you can wear a cowboy hat or none at all. No caps of any kind.

Thanks for the comments. Kelly will appreciate them. ;-)

Congratulations on the Showmanship win!! It was always my favorite part, and I still think it's most important. The animals look good, lots of horn! Keep up the good work

Ryan

Thanks for the comments. Yes it was COOOOOLLLLDDDD!!! and wet the first day and then just COOOOLLLLD!! but all was well when it all came together. We want him to keep enjoying it as much as he can! I am printing these pages for him to see. Thanks again everyone maybe those of you in our area can stop by our Longhorn show March 25 & 26 in Murfreesboro. We would love to meet you and let you see our herds in person. :cboy:

I may have to check into that. I have to say that the examples I've seen from your herd have given me a new appreciation for the Longhorn breed. :)
