you dont think that would take away the whole purpose of the picture capability?

if you just want to share photos, thats one thing, but most pictures are part of a discussion. if you want to put pictures in one place you might as well not even have picture capability. there are plenty of photo album sites already.

I think the photo gallery is a good idea.... I think the photo capability within a thread is a necessity. The gallery just gives options to post additional pics. I could very well be wrong, but I don't think the gallery would detract from a thread....we could just say for instance "look - new calf" and if you have additional pics reference the gallery. That way users with dial-up can still see, but not be bogged down with say, 5 pics.

My opinion only....
