I’ve always just found a bull “appealing” but couldn’t tell you why. I am not the one to see the click of the foot or too much brisket. I leave that to my husband.

For phenotype only, NO EPD discussion... who is your favorite bull of all time? If you have a link to (or photo of) their pic, that’d be great.

GLS Integrate. Love the power and length and performance he possesses. I helped get him ready for sale pictures and the sale and was flat impressed to see a bull like that move like he did. Then to see the promo pick was icing. https://www.accelgen.com/catalog/beef-catalog.aspx?code=014sm03076&language=english&title=gls-integrate-z3

Curious: can you accept/like a bull that does not look like a sales catalog picture at 2 YO but sires great daughters and then the bull looks like you want at 3 YO or 4 YO? Will not discuss EPDs but there are a lot of differences in growth curves that affect phenotype at various ages. The growth curve can be detected in the EPDs.

Since I can not seem to get tinypic to work any longer....

Am I missing something here? The yearling picture and the mature pictures are clearly two different bulls as the face markings are different.

I like my bulls to have plenty of length with plenty of depth and I guess plenty of width for that matter. They don't have to be big just plenty of volume.

Same bull. It looks different because of the angle he is holding his head.

With the talk about the Optimizer Bull above, what are your thoughts on 7SM89
W/C RAPID FIRE 2101C?

He is a Remington Lock and Load son. I like that docility. One of my primary traits to select on. I handle my cattle and a jerk is no fun.

I think there are bulls with a better and deeper rib and front. Like Optimizer.

I've always thought this pic of Final Answer had the "wow" factor

Irony. Luke if Branded posted that picture as his herd bull, 23 Users and their dog would be all over him saying he was an over-conditioned piece of crap. Lol.

Seriously, I don't like to look at bulls so loaded down with a coat of fat that you cannot assess the muscle. This picture does not project the solid nature that the Optimizer does. But obviously there is a lot of muscle there.

One thing I like about Simmentals compared to Angus is the strength and mass of their bones.
