I was browsing through another forum and noticed a discussion about how people dress in our current culture. Apparently a woman was seated in a restaurant, and a woman came in and stood beside her for a few minutes waiting to be seated. The woman who was seated said she turned her head, and looked square into a vagina. She said the woman had on a half-shirt with some type of thin leggings, and there was nothing left to the imagination, and she was put off by it. The conversation turned to what is decent, not decent, and so forth, and of course, most chimed in writing that it didn’t bother them what other people wore and “it’s just the human body, what’s the big deal.”

One poster, however, asked what I thought was a great question: Why is it that people currently care about the appearance of everything else they have, but not the appearance of their body? People will spend a lot of work getting their lawn to look majestic. Most people I know will go crazy if their mowing schedule gets off. Everyone wants their home to look great. If you drop in on someone unexpected, one of the first things they say is something like, “Oh, please overlook my house; it’s a mess.” They act as if a house that looks lived-in will mean they’re a horrible person. Most people want their vehicles spotless in public, but there seems to be no thought to presenting the body in a classy, stylish fashion. Apparently, the more one can look like a slob or a stripper want-to-be on their own time in public, the better.

On that site, nobody would directly address this question even though it was restated twice. Any thoughts here?

There are a few things that come to mind when I read this.

Girls are mean. The woman who looked at the vagina probably felt threatened by it. Like how dare she. In a room full of women, the biggest target is the woman that’s most attractive.

If you’re going to dress oddly or outgoing expect people to look. Don’t get upset when you get a few gawks. Human nature.

In terms of decency I mean I don’t get it. I like to dress respectably myself most times. There are occasions as a woman I can be more outgoing. Crop tops are on trend. So are see through leggings. It’s 2020 not 1920. And I do agree with who cares what other ppl are wearing. Just do you.

But I know for fact there is someone in every crowd that will have problem with any confident woman showing her goods.

Some folks are insecure. I like to give others the room they need to be who they are.

I am really starting to question the drummer you march too.
This is same culture that can’t produce a movie with an actual dialogue other than vulgarity.

Well, the styling of a lot of new vehicles is atrocious (a trend that's been going on for years), and people love them nevertheless.

I think that person posing the question is making a bit of a leap in logic saying such people have spotless houses, vehicles, etc as well

You rarely catch a man offended by a woman with a see through crotch on her pants. Life is too short to care, just enjoy the show.

I just read on another post here yesterday “not my circus”.

I'm pretty private with my private life... I wouldn't be offended by seeing that, but I also would absolutely steer clear of being in any relationship with them.. If they are that bad at keeping things private, I know my private business would probably be out there for the world to know as well.

What do you mean? You question the drummer I march to or the person who was offended in the restaurant?

Why in a world in which decency, and honor are shunned, or ignored, are we surprised when vulgarity, crudeness rear their ugly heads?

Why this even be on your radar?
It’s all about attention positive or negative doesn’t matter.

A little different perspective here.........I have 2 young girls. If you take them shopping, to a place that sells modern fashionable clothes, none of the clothes can be worn to school. They don't meet the dress code. I wouldn't call the school dress code strict either. That relegates you to buying what they describe as "granny" clothes. Not sure of the struggles of being a teenage girl in this day and age, but I hate for them to go out in granny clothes, if it's not what the other kids are doing. In other words, dressing fashionably and modestly is hard to do.

Oh, I see. I just found it interesting.

If they have the body to carry it off then go for it. Trouble is that some don't own a mirror, they use lycra to reign in the rolls of fat, yuck.

I think the million dollar question here is what was the condition of the vagina? Was it well kept or was it in disarray??

I have a thought. Maybe they are presenting their body in a classy, stylish fashion, only it's by their definition, not yours.
