I am looking to buy good quality, low moisture in-shell nuts for export to China. 40 foot container quantities required. Some of you folks in Georgia, Texas, New Mexico or Alabama may know some large growers that can supply large quantities. We have bought several hundred containers out of west Texas, New Mexico and Peru this past year. I am looking for more leads.

There's a fellow her in town who has a pecan sheller. He has (I guess) a tandem dump truck load of hulls beside his house, and when pecans comes in season I'll guess he'll have that many more.I can get a name ,if you want.

The native pecans are too small for the export market. From the US we usually get Stuarts, Western Schley and Desirables. We get Mahans out of Peru and South Africa. We would need semi loads at a time bagged in 50 to 100 pound sacks or in super sacks. So if you know any large growers or an alliance of smaller growers send me their info via private message. The grower must also be willing to containerize for export and ship to a Los Angeles port. The customs paperwork is intimidating at first but it is not really that bad. We have forwarders in L.A. and New York that can help with the logistics and paperwork. Most of the growers we work with export almost 100% of their product with us as they have a guaranteed sale vs. having to go out and hustle to sell a little here and a little there. They harvest it, load, bill and ship it to one party. Cuts down on allot of work and the unknown for them.
