I've never actually been to their sale, but they have great looking females. Their bull selction confuses me at times, and the pics of the herd bulls make them look absolutely hog-fat. But the camera always adds a few hundred pounds right? ;-) I've heard some purebred producers comment on how happy they were with the females they bought, but I've also noticed that you never seem to see their animals come back into the showring with huge success.
Now, I'm the last one to put weight in the value of the showring, BUT, if you sold as many bulls and heifers as they do in a year, to commercial and seedstock producers, don't you thin you'd expect to see a few more of them out doing something in the world? Do they fall apart 3 steps from the trough, or is it just coincidence? I don't know. But judging purely on phenotype by the catalogs, they have outstanding cattle. And judging purely by the structure of the structures in the pics, they have outstanding buyer support! ;-) [/i]
