My '78 was street legal and not quite that good. It would beat a 280Z back when everyone thought they were hot. Cousin over in Shreveport built the engine for me and spared nothing. Me and the truck parted ways a few years back. Just didn't have the time to change the tranny out again etc. Sold it after letting it set for a couple years.
Brings back memories. My brother used to race alcohol dragsters. We rebuilt / built up a 460 for our 1982 3/4 ton F250 4 X 4. Used to race all the Cameros and Mustangs all the high school kids thought were fast. It was a consistant high 13 sec. in the 1/4 mile. Hard on rear axles though. :cboy:
