pasture clipping charge

I used to get $10.00/hour 20 years ago when I was a college kid making a little extra money. I figured it would be higher than the prices you gave.

Just for the record, a lot of em' charge by the hour here. Some get upwards of 20.00 an Hr. depending on terrain. Some get 10.00-20.00 an acre as well.

Why would anyone own a bushog if you can get pasture clipped for 10.00 per hr? I am editing. I reread it. I get it now. 10.00 per acre is the cheapest here. Good fields with no brush.
25 to 30 per hr.

Usually around here most people seem to be around $25 per acre. I haven't seen any ads on an hour basis. What happens when you hire someone by the hour and they pull up to clip 50 acres and bring a 5 foot clipper, hope you got a deep wallet.

Is that per tractor hour or per hour?
The fella wears a stop watch around his neck. No kidding. When you stop to visit with him he is careful to stop it where you can see him, like you know when he started and when he finishes. I feel like they are acurate enough. I have had them clip for me and it works out to around 10 dollars per acre. He uses a 10ft cutter. 7ft if he is in real hard big brush.

I clip to cut off about 1/4 of the growth below the stems to encourage new growth. If it is dry I just cut the stems off.

Two years ago, I had it done for 10, to $12 per acre, but with the price of fuel now I'm sure it is more than that now. Be proud if u can get it done for that.
