Howdy Everyone,

I ran into a guy the other day and i was telling him i had to sew up two prolaps today and he told me you can give oxytocin in the vein and it will pull the prolaps in on its own in about thirty minutes i dont know if this is true. Have any of yall ever heard of that or have done it? I just dont see how this can work cause if i am not mistaken oxytocin increases uterine contractions?

This guy is a pharmacologist & reproductive physiologist?
Or, is he just a feed-store 'cowboy'?
I suspect he's full of you-know-what.

Oxytocin will promote uterine contractions(among other things), but I don't see it 'pulling in' a vaginal prolapse, and I can pretty well guarantee you it won't pull in a full uterine prolapse(though it might cause it to shrink up a bit while you're trying to get it back in).
