Overly friendly kitten

I acquired a young stray kitten (6-7 weeks maybe) that is always underfoot. If I sit down it thinks I'm a jungle gym. Any odeas on how to get rid of some of the overly friendly part?

Several years ago my wife had a cat in the house. It would see me sitting in the recliner and run from the other room to just bounce on my belly and keep going. I never could catch it as it passed by.

Kitten rubs all over Aggie, when she/he/it isn;t rubbing all over me.

Besides not having a hotshot on the place, it would fry the little bugger. He/she/it is finally learning rules boundrys and limitations. When I get in the truck it doesn;t jump in with me and as soon as it starts it takes off like a scalded dog.

A spray bottle works , but only use it for training purposes . Cats respond really well to their name ,so say it often when you are trying to reinforce the rules and correct bad behavior .

If you keep spending time with it each day ,and correcting bad behavior it shouldn't take very long to have the kitten following the rules .

It will grow out of it when it finds other entertainment, remember you are now it's 'ma'.
