Rounded up the cows and calves for weaning and shipping.
2 of the steers freaked out at the gate and took off. Our riders roped one and hubby caught the other one on the 4-wheeler.
the one chased by the 4-wheeler is doing fine, but the other one is not doing so great.
He is panting, some shaking and salivia coming from his mouth.
Tried to get him up to the water, but he wouldn't drink.
Hasn't nursed on the cow, she is staying right by him.
Got water in a 5 gallon bucket and slowly poured it on him, he got up.
It is pretty hot today.

We are trying to not stress him out.

Any suggestions?

Walk away for a while. That's alot of stress for him to deal with. If you've got him where you want him, walk away and let him get his head straight and he'll be back to normal shortly. If you push him it will just get worse.

He's up and no longer drooling.
Still trembing in the hind end. When he was walking after weighing the calves he tripped and is limping.
We are keeping him back.
ears are up, but eyes look a little shrunk in though, still watching him.

Vet is coming out to preg check tomorrow, going to have him take a look at him.
