We all know cattle prices are through the roof, but this just seems extremely excessive. I can't imagine anyone paying this much.

although that is pretty crazy.. I had a guy tell me he was asking $4000 EACH...for some RA registered bred heifers.. :shock:

I get the impression you guys would be more comfortable if feeder calves were in the $1.30 range? Personally I think these prices were brought on by low prices and this correction is long over due. Mel

Yep pretty expensive $18,000,200 but even without the typo in the header, $2200 for a 6 mo old bull calf or 8 mo old heifer is way over the top.
(that looks like a lot of range cubes for just 3 calves)

I'm very happy with calf prices, I'm just saying that even with prices the way they are some of the cattle on craigslist are way over-priced.
