Over hanging limbs

Do yall cut the limbs that catch the tractor roof next to fences? I am thinking of using the bucket and a pole saw to cut these limbs.Looks like alot of work but I think it may be worth it. I cant ever bushog as close to the fence as I would like because of over hanging limbs.

yep mama drives and i man the chain saw from the bucket

Yep, the ol' 'spouse in the bucket with a chainsaw' method works around here too. It's unsafe as all get out, but the only way we can get to those darn limbs. Just don't drop the chainsaw. That's a bummer.

Since I'm usually the one on the tractor, and can be kind of a joker, I really have to work to not tip the bucket too quickly or the wrong way. The temptation is huge - just to see him scramble real quick.... but I do resist. The danger factor slightly outweighs the potential humor factor.

Yep, we cut the limbs that touch any part of the tractor. If you go around low limbs too long, you start losing ground.

I generally leave a few for the cows to get under in the heat of the day. Thats my excuse not to cut them all. ;-)

i like to leave some for them to scratch on. but not where i need to drive.

We do the same, tractor with a bucket and a chainsaw. Not only does it save on the tractor (or the driver) we like to trim anything overhanging on the fields for the sun and drying factor.

Uh let's see. Dillers, hogs, coyotes, fire ants, rain during baling season, busted underground water supply pipe, and I'm sure some can add some more. :lol:
