This calf for some reason is really growing. He out weighs the others by 100# + is my guess. I've had other steers from that same cross and they are always nice calves but for some reason this year's one is really going! Notice the calf behind him you can barely see! His D.O.B. was 2/22/15. This is a good problem to have! LOL ;-)

I've got a smallish 4 year old cow that is beating the tar out of out of the rest of the herd the way she's raising her calf.. he's just over 4 months and well into the 500's, I'm really happy with her performance.. another close sister to her (also 4 years old) has a steer that is right in there with the rest of the biggest steers, but he just wins the beauty contest as well.

Definitely a good problem to have!, I want more of them! I kept last years heifer from the first cow, and the second hasn't given me a heifer yet, I'm hoping next year she has a repeat performance but with a heifer... I think she'll look really good.

That is the kind of problem to make you some money for sure. Looks like you have some grass to grow them on as well!
