Our new reg beefmaster bull

Help Support CattleToday:

Very nice beefy bull. Its is a shame that we all get so hung up on colour and forget about the beef side of our business. Its never truly worried me with my rainbow of breeds that we have at our place. We do have straight coloured coloured but have brindles etc. he is a very nice bull. What coloured calves does he usually produce? Are you penalised for the colour variations? We aren't here in Australia as much as the US.

This is a couple photos of our new reg beefmaster bull. We recently sold our angus bull, and went back to the breed we love.
Im happy top hear that you went back to beefmaster.I think this bull will definitely add pounds of profit to your herd

We have not had any calves out of him yet. The guy from whom I bought him had red beefmaster females and a few simmental cows, and the calves were mostly red with white faces. We are just looking for the added weight to our calf crop. You can also feed him cubes right out of your hand. He is a very easy kepping bull.

Maybe later we can find a few beefmaster mommas to go with him.

That there is one good bull. Do you have any performance data on him? I would personally like to know his birthweight, weaning weight, and yearling weight.

As soon as I find out where my wife put his papers, I will give you his numbers. I know the guy I bought him from got him at the Beef on Forage sale in Brenham, Texas. He was going to keep some heifers out of him, so he bought another bull. I was looking at two bulls (this one and a black beefmaster). I decided on this one, because he was docile and end the end I just wasn't too much into black beefmasters. Okay, here is his numbers:
weaning=665
Yearling=866

He turned 4 yrs old on 2/12/07.
I would say he weighs 2000 right now.

His bloodlines are mostly Lasater on the top side with mostly Frenzel and Salt Creek on the bottom side.

That's a really nice bull. Where in Texas is your ranch?

We are located in central Texas. Just outside of Rockdale.

I would say you have a heck of a bull. That guy's got all kinds of butt. There's a lot of meat in that neck, too. I can't tell a whole lot, but he looks to be pretty long as well. I hope he serves you well. I think you'll get those pounds you were looking for.

I'll tell you another thing, you're not hardly going to go wrong with Lasater and Frenzel genetics. Frenzel's herd seems to be based on a Lasater foundation. The bull I posted several weeks ago was Lasater on top and had a Frenzel bull as his maternal grand sire.

Good luck to you.
