Just read this in the classified ads in the Stephenville, TX newspaper.

Grass lease wanted for 50-100 head of cattle for cow/calf pairs.

I guess hope springs eternal for some folks.

Alice, You are exactly right. I just posted a reply on another post about a couple of dairymen friends of mine who are really going thru a rough time. But if they would quit tomorrow someone somewhere with a dream would take their place.

Yes. But at this point of drought, the fine line between optimism and insanity must have been erased.

Yeah, that's kind of the way I was looking at it, too...altho it is nice to know that there are those who won't let adversity get them down.

Looking on the bright side . I am going to build a new hay barn. It is going to cost a good bit of money. Just hope i have hay to put in it . Good luck to all.

:lol: :lol: Do I detect a tiny bit of cynicism in your response? I'll be the first to admit that stupidity is the right response for a lot of situations, but I will also stick to my guns about faith being the determining factor when one has a 'gut instinct' about doing something that everyone is telling them not to do. I hope that makes sense - hot today and my brain has overheated. :lol: :lol:
