If someone told me that I would be concerned that the cow would not breed back. He could have gotten more money on a 3-1. Hopefully she will be okay. June is not that far away or you could A-I.

well he pourposely held 120 spring calving pairs open.so the new owner could breed them back.the 120hd all calvd in a 45 day calving period.these are reg beefmasters.the 3 in 1s aved $2000 a pr.the prs aved $1800.so the whole herd made just shy $300,000.

I thought this was just one pair that someone brought in. Wonder how many cows the guy has?

Still if I were selling them I would have tried to get them bred as I could think of lots to do with that extra $200 per.

If you breed her today, you'll get an early March calf, wait until July and you're looking at a May calf. Go with whatever date works best in your breeding program. Is there some reason you can't turn her out with the stock cows and the bull?

i'd give her the boot and now and get a march calf. or either have her AIed.

the stock cows belong to my mom.an she would freak if something happened to the cow or her calf while she is in the big pasture.an add to it the cow is a tad highstrung due tobeing hotshotted.an i dont know how much trouble she be to get back in her pasture.
