Old Rube

[Caustic Burno]

Took off squirrel hunting this morning with old Rube about 9 we hadn't been in the woods about 20 minutes and she tied into a half grown bobcat. Bobcat was dispatched to bobcat heaven with a load of 6's from a 16 gauge. He worked old Rube over pretty good been nursing her all day after the trip to the vet.

Very brave dog.
I hope Rube heals well and has a speedy recovery.

Maybe she was trying to come up with a breed of cathound, like the hybred cat and bobcat.

She is doing a lot better, she got up and started moving around a little last night. She had wounds on the left front leg and right rear leg, she is still carrying the rear one. I am afraid now she is going to go to lookin up cats as she got to stay in the house versus the kennel. Problem with these fiest dogs is they think they can whip anything gets them in trouble from time to time.

sounds like she is a good hunting dog.that has a taste for something you dont want her to hunt.hope she gets on her feet soon.did you keep that dead bobcat.
