Awhile back some of you were discussing old barns. I finally got a picture of one of ours. It's about 100 years old. During a flood at that time they floated trees down the river to make this barn, one other that is about 100 feet away and a shed that is in a different pasture. We keep the roof reshingled and I am not sure when the tin was put in some of the windows. This barn has no stalls but we use it during calving. The other barn has four stalls and we used it while we were showing ponies. We did put electricity in the barn with stalls but not this one. The shed we use to store posts. They just don't make 'em like they used too!

That is a neat looking old barn. I would love to have one like it on our place. Thanks for sharing the photo.

It is amazing how sturdy these old barns or houses are. We have a barn that covers 2 houses that are made like the barn in the picture above and they are as good as anything still to this day. Good picture not many around.

It is amazing how well they are both standing. You are right there aren't many around. Everyone that comes out has to stop and admire them. We do have to get the roofs reshingled this year though. Supposed to do it last year then it wouldn't stop raining and we got busy with flood stuff. It's on this summer's job list.:)
