Oh...when is it going to end?

Sunday 72-55, Monday 55-22, supposed to have a high of 40 today and snow tonight. I'm ready for the weather to settle down.

As I sit here typing and waiting for daylight to come, I can now see out the window to once again see a white blanket of snow covering everything....Oh when is it going to end? Nuff is enuff!

Oh, complain, complain. It was -24 C here last night. That's about -11 F. Had to plug my car in to get it started. We won't be out of snow territory until the first of June. Maybe you should move up here for awhile. Bet you that when you moved back you'd think it was pretty nice.

I spent a year in Iceland and promised myself I'ld never get myself into that kind of environment again. I'm glad there are people that are willing to live in the freezer of the north, leaves a little more room for me down here.

I agree! Enough is enough. We have been waking up to around - 3 also the last couple mornings and calling for colder tonight. We had two nice days and everything started to melt but now everything is frozen into big ice skating ponds. I pray for no broken legs for the animals. I think I was ready for spring back in December!

Finally the sun is shining here. So tired of drizzle I was ready to kill someone. Oh wait.. maybe that wasn't because of the weather.. :P

It shouldn't be a surprise that winter is hanging on.. didn't the groundhog see his shadow?

It was a beautiful day here, high around 70. But the rain returns tomorrow :x but I just saw that tomorrow could/should be the only day we get rain for a few days.

AGAIN....i BEG of you to send some our way!!! hubby went out to burn the stubble field and get ready for planting and had the local fire marshall threatening to ticket him for burning when we are already under extreme fire alert!!! no moisture our way what-so-ever in february!!! yep...way past the point of worrying :( :( :help:

dun!!!! Hey I spent some time on that moonscape of an island as well.(Iceland) I assume perhaps we shared the same accomodations just outside the commercial airport in Rykavik?

I miss little about it, except the seemingly 100 ways they know how to prepare salmon. And maybe the occassional trips to the blue lagoon.

Next Monday the icebreakers start smashing ice in the shipping channel of St. Lawrence River. Last year they broke ice 5 feet thick I was told. Don't think there will be as much this year--it's only 0 today. Heck, there's a foot of ice in the barnyard.

You may appreciate this little event. Caribbean Air got the contract to fly the military in and out of Kef. I was standing in the tower one day when they were taxing towards the terminal. It was one of those wonderful breezy days when the visibility at ground level and up 30 feet was a total white out but clear above. All I could see was the tail of the plane immersed in the blowing snow with a single palm tree painted on the tail. Maybe you had to be there, but we were all rolling on the floor laughing.

Cattlerack, you've got Highlands, right? I bet they don't blink an eye at that weather. How late in the year will that kind of weather last where you are? It's almost 50 (F) here, thankfully...I'd go stark raving mad if I had to deal with that all winter...
