Do not worry - if they have not come after you yet, they are not likely to now.

:D

I always knew you ladies carried way too much junk in your purses.

Putting anything in my wifes purse is kind of like dumping a quart of water down the well. IF you ever see it again you won't recognize it.Z

Too tooooo true...I can't believe I forgot anything that important. ..... Now I wonder what else I may have forgotten.

You forgot to send me that check for 20 grand. Dont worry, you can still send it to me. 8)

An over zealous officer is going to stop you some day for changing lanes without a turn signal. They'll find that you haven't paid the fine for skipping out on your civic duty and cuff you. You'd better get down there and cough up a few nickels.

purses, are things of mystery, you put something in and it never can be found again, it's like socks in a washing machine, you know it went in but why don't it come out????

peg hope you will be OK missing that, it does seem a long time in them contacting you, lets hope they have forgotten about you.

Unless a jury summons is sent to you via registered mail they have no way of proving you ever got it. Relax. There will be no bench warrant for your arrest.

Don't believe it, Peg...run for your life! :lol2:

I'll hide ya' here...nobody can find ya' here!

Peg, come on over to Louisiana and run for public office. You will fit right in you being on the shady side of the law. ;-) Our current governor has announced she is not running for re election so there will be a job vacancy.

On second thought, you better not. Too many of our elected officials end up in jail as it is.

Down here they put a bench warrant out for you if you don't show up. If ya get a traffic stop they will see it and haul you down to jail. Then ya gotta pay a fine, paying towing for your vehical ( usually double the norm), pay storage fee's for your vehical, etc. Can easily cost you a grand.

Then we have judge that throws folks into jail for just being late.

I did federal court some years back and I have not gotten called since. I had to drive about 70 miles one way to the fed court. What a pain. I used to get called about every two years for state stuff.

Only been called once for a 2 week stint about 15 years ago. Sat on a couple of trials. One was a guy accused of ............uh .............. how can I put this ................. showing something to young ladies that they didn't particularly want to see. Hard to keep a straight face sometimes, but we took our job seriously. Interesting seeing the system work up close and in real life.
