Took a couple of pics of some of my favorite balancer calves. That's all I am going to have this year. The cows I AI'd to GV bulls didn't take so they got bred by my Angus bull.

Heifer by Designers Pride X Atlas 712 Dtr 70lbs BW. She will probably go to my little 4H gal in trade for the bull calf that my heifer had last week. He is out of Iron Mountain and he is a stud.

Bull Calf Tybar New Standard X ZKit Tabasco DTR. 81lbs BW He is out of the same cow as that great Red Balancer bull I sold to Neb last fall. This one should PAP well. He looks a little short in the pic. He definately is not. He is deeeep though.

Really like that first heifer calf.

Thanks Knersie, me too her momma always makes "fancy" calves. I kept her 1/2 sister last year and would keep her but like I said she will most likely go to my 4H girl to show for next years heifer project.

What I really like is I can walk anywhere near her in a big pasture and she comes to greet me! Her sire has a DOC epd of 20 and it really shows in her.

Can't wait for that brown hair to fall out. Never could figure out why some of these Homo Blk calves start out brown, and it's not just from the GV. My friend has straight Angus calves that are brown also!

Thanks fellas. I sure wish I coulda got a picture of the 3/4 brother to the heifer, but after being treated for pnuemonia twice his new motto is if yer comin in the front door I am going out the back. For some reason he don't like being roped and stuck with needles!
Sad thing about him is I will probably have to sell him to the low country. Aster they have had the pnuemonia they almost never PAP well.
