Just went out to check on cows and one of our cows, about 4 yrs old has blood coming out of both nostrils. Not gushing but trickling out like a nose bleed a human would get. Any ideas? She seems fine otherwise, good appetite.

I'm thinking she hit heads with one of the other cows. Or got hit. Dosnt look serious. So just going to watch her for a couple days. Also, we have had some crazy changes in temps. 80's when we come in and 40's going out in the morning! That's Texas for ya!

That would be my guess. I have some do it every year. It always stops in a day or so.

Might not be anything to worry about as suggested above.

That said, if you're interested in other causes, try googling "caudal vena cava thrombosis" -sometimes cattle end up with lung abscesses, and when those break open they can have some very impressive nosebleeds.
