No sausages and pies for me

Actually no, not a good thing, although reading it again I see how you got that idea.

They are culls because they are mongrel dairy cross does that keep jumping the fences.

Actually, I dont think its one of the wethers because the time frame doesnt fit. The does were bought in from a friend. Sausages and pies are yearling does that had been running with the herd, and jerky is an old bag. We got them in a group of mainly old ones, that had just had the kids weaned off them. The two young ones were just added in there. We got them to background for a few months before exporting. Anyway we think one of the little bucks may have gotten a bit carried away before he was weaned, because the friend we got them off has does springing too.

Anyway, I will just have to eat someone else

Well, its not a second chance, but its a three to five month reprieve, because as soon as they wean the kids, they will be gone.

I wonder if they knew what was coming when we re-tagged them and wrote on their tags "Sausages" "Pies" and "Jerky"

None of them has kidded yet, but pies lost the cervical plug today so she will be close. Had three born today.
