Those things are HUGE! Did you shoe him away? I think I'd let him swim as much as he wanted anytime he wanted.

:D We are in the tail end of our county fair... One of the events at our rodeo is riding bizon (buffalo)... I was just kinda picturing moose riding...

:D At first I thought you meant "Shoe him" as in shod.... John 250 I believe summed it up best when he provide and answered the question.. "Where does a moose swim? Anywhere it wants!"
They are pretty big critters... I remember once going through the New England States... and all of the "Watch for Moose" signs... Actually, beacause of their height and their legs blend in so well with the local trees that you sometimes won't see their body and the legs look just like another tree in the background... Maybe the signs should read, "Watch for Moose Legs"

I saw those pics on another thread. They are great! no way anything like that is gonna happen in Texas!

Are those from someone's house on this forum, or did they come off the internet somewhere? Who would not be blown away to see that??? :D

I went fishing near Red Lodge Lodge(?) Montana once and struck out toward a creek only to walk up on one of these with its calf. I first thought it was a bear but then they stood up and I was relieved till I learned they are quite protective of their young. First and only one I ever saw.

They came off the internet.A friend of mine up north sent them to me a couple of years ago claiming that he lived so far out in the wild that the moose just moved in wherever they wanted :) .Whoever snapped those pics sure got great ones.I love moose they are beautiful animals but I like to see them at least 50 yards away and in someone elses pasture especially if they have a calf at their side ;-) .
