Julia Roberts is to film a movie in Bastrop! :o :D
Friday,after I had left,a car ran into the Library,knocking loose a few bricks..They clamed the brakes failed~but the cops let them drive off!! :roll: :shock: :mad:
Sunday,after I left, a man came in,wanting to use the phone on a checkstand-the checker told him it wouldn't call outside of the store,so he left,screaming and curseing--our people following him..He pulled a knife in the parking lot and charged back toward the store!! Everybody started yelling "Lock the doors!" He threatened a woman in the parkinglot,and when her husband/boyfriend steped between them,stabed him! Was going to stab him again,but another customer tackeled him,and the cartpushers and other customers swarmed him..took 5/6 cops to cuff him and carry him off..Stabbed guy will be ok,knife hit a rib,so didnot damage heart or lungs.
As I was driveing home,a rock hit my windshield,didn't come all the way thro,but now have a crack top to bottom to go along with the one working along from the passenger side :(
Someone drove off from the gas station at work,with the gas hose still in the tank!! :oops:
Drunk driver was on the wrong side of the road,hit the cop comeing to find him! :oops:
Things are hopping around here :lol2:
 
My gosh...all of that right there would make a movie! Heck, who needs Julia Roberts?

Forgot about the guy who threw a metal trashcan lid thro the store door-Store was closed,he was running around screaming "They're after me,they're trying to kill me!!" Stockers hearded him into the dairy cooler,and locked him in,but he jumped out thro where they stock the yogert and ran out the fire door,where the cops caught him !!

Tell me where that is again... I was looking to relocate, but I want to avoid that town! Sounds like the guy with the knife and the guy with the trash can are on drugs. Not just the aforementioned attacks I would like to avoid, but Julia Roberts, as well.

Gee, the only thing that has happened around here is, well, nothing really happens around here. :roll:
 
I did forget that I got in trouble with the lunch ladies today. I think they don't like me. I complained that they blocked the wheelchair ramp to the gym. Good thing I bring my own lunch every day.

That's about all that happens for excitement in Alvarado/Venus.
 
Bastrop county is (I think) the 2nt fastes growing county in Texas,Need lots more police!!
Also,rumor has it that Sid Stiner has sold the homeplace to some amusement park people to build a water park--don't know where they'll get the water~~ Yes, the bullrider--the old man outlived all his sons,so Sid got it..

Friday I went to work early,to hit Wal-Mart to see if my material had got in..I'm running 'bout65,when the lights on the dash come on--the ones that say"by the way,you got no brakes"YIPES!! :shock: pull in the breakdown lane,got some brakes,muushey,but can stop..get to the shop I use,they take me to work..One of the kids lives by there,so takes me to get truck$160.00 :(
Sat,I go to work early,ditto..go thro the light--there's a man in the middle of the intersection~~with a white cane!! :shock: Throw on the flashers,go grab him and walk him to an island,call cops..He says the wife threw him out. :mad: . Cop seemed to know him. :roll: .
Sun ditto,ditto,material not there.. :x
Mon.stayed home--Both roosters have dissapered,again,but now there is a young white one in the yard!! Pretty thing,gold saddle and wing bars,sets off the white body and the red comb.

That reminds me, didn't a Bastrop County Sheriff get caught in a cock fight raid a few years ago? :shock: Hope they didn't need fresh contestants.
 
Not Bastrop County..Can't remember which county he was from,but it was a dog fight-Held on someone elses land :shock: -When the lady went down to see what was going on in her pasture,she was told she'd have to buy a ticket :o She went home and called cops..When they showed up,the Sherrif took off thro the brush.. :x Media was there!! He told them he thought it was a dog show and when he found out it was a fight he was just astounded and left!!!! Wish PETA had the guts to take on the dog fight people,but they'd rather throw paint on some skinny movie star.. :mad: PETA does pick their fights ;-)
