Anyone else having troubles with the the newer truck high beds and older gn trailers? I bought a 2008 Chevy 2500HD and am having a heck of a time getting satisfactory adjustments made to tow my 1995 GN stock trailer. I am going to be running real nose high or if i do an axle flip I may need a loading chute to get the cows in the trailer. Are the newer trailers being made to accommodate the newer truck bed heights?

We have been very unpleased with the amount of GN adjustment on our flatbed 22', stock trlr 20', and the LQ GN at 35' we really wish the bulkhead to cargo box or bed was about 5 inches higher. That would be the only thing that would fix the problem correctly for us at least, as it stands now we keep a slight rake on the trailers to maintain just enough bed clearance allowing us to drive into the mountains and rough terrrain. Or pull all our trailers with a 2 wheel drive, that would take car of our problems

One solution, tell the dealership to keep their bed and put a steel or aluminum flatbed on it. I think you'll love the flatbed's convenience and it solves your bedside issue.

I agree 100%. I didn't think I wanted a flatbed and now that I have one I wish we had done it a long time ago. I made sideboards so we can pull the GN with the boards on it or take them off. With the board on it is pretty much an 11ft. pickup bed.

The bed that we have has a pocket recessed about 4 inches into the bed that has the ball in it. It also has a door over it so when it's not in use you can cover the hole
