Additional Specifications:
The 16 D is a lightweight, air-cooled, gas-operated, magazine-fed assault nailer, with a rotating bolt, actuated by direct impingement gas operation. The nailer is made of steel, aluminum, and composite plastics in Dewalt Yellow & Black or for an additional $539.00 you can get Dewalt's camo version.
The 16 D2 has the select-fire option (semi-automatic nailer, three-round-burst fire) incorporating design elements requested by the Sea Bee Construction Units and can be found around Marine Corps Bases throughout southern California. Other features include an adjustable elevation and windage rear-sight; a 5/8-inch longer stock; heavier barrel; case deflector for left-hand nailers; and cylindrical hand guards.
The only negative feature is that 18 Volt battery cost dang near as much as the nailer itself to replace....
Wanabe companies like Ryobi and Black & Decker have been trying to market a similar model through COSTCO at a fraction of the price.... I.e You can buy a brand new nailer with two new 98 Volt batteries for under $50.00
