New heifers

These two have been bred, due sometime in mid January.

I see you have some green grass, but you have probably been in the well talked about drought.
These girls look pretty thin for heifers coming with their first calf - or like I said about the young bull - maybe just lacking muscling. Even if they are truly light muscled, I would like to see them in a BCS of 6 prior to calving.

I think they need to be gaining weight as they approach calving but for heifers that are only 5 months bred they look about right to me.

Top one was born 11/05. bottom one 1/06. both bred about the same time. They have access to all the feed, minerals, and good green grass they need. Should gain more as the days roll on.
