Bought these grass processors to cut back on on the baling this year. They were 30 days exposed to angus bull. Have 3 options for them. Resell them in the fall, carry them till spring and sell them as pairs or keep them and cull some older cows.

those are some nice looking haybalers.i think id keep a few an sale some old cows.an then sale some of them as pairs.

You need a new exterior decorater 82 Vett they are to black for that color of green grass background. Some nice red cows would look much nicer in that setting, add more color. :P

Good looking cows.

I've been preaching; fertilize less, stop baling hay to sell, and cut stocking rate as an answer to runaway expenses. Buying them is not cutting stocking rates but I am going to run them on some hay pastures that I would normally bale. Bought them with the knowledge that I was going to resell them. I have had them for 4 days and they already calmer and respond better than some I have raised myself, so final plan might get adjusted a bit. I have a few months to figure that out.

One of my faults a few years ago, was picking one breed and sticking to it. No regrets for indecision. So I've got some herefords, angus, brangus, braford, some ranchhand crossbred left from dad's herd and one line that goes back to a bottle calf dad bought me when I was 9. Long story short, leaning more towards the brangus cattle now.

jka300, about the best I can do for white at the moment are some "chocolate" brangus/hereford crosses like this one.

Hope it works too ALX. Coming off a year of maximum hay production to one of minimal production is quite a change. Looks like I am going to have about 25 - 35 acres to cut in about 10 days anyway. After that I think the cattle will be able to keep up with it.

Thanks for the comments on the cattle. They are all doing really well this spring.
