Don't know if this has been discussed before as I've been having some major computer problems but today when I went to the MFA I noticed a long line there. Usually they are awesome about getting folks in and out rather quickly but today it took longer than "normal".
Evidently due to new bio-terrorism laws that took effect today they are now required to doccument what feed they sell to who and when. They now require you to supply them with your name, address, phone, and in some cases an e-mail address.
My local MFA already had all my personal information on file so I was in and out pretty quick. They said right now all feed stores with more than 499 employees total are required to do this but within the next year any company who sells feed will be required to document what feed they have sold to who and when so they can track you down if there is a problem with the feed.
Just wondering if this is a nation wide thing (the big sign sure looked like it was) or if this is just for Missouri. I'm curious on how they will track folks who buy special bulk mixes rather than bagged feed and have it delivered to their grain bins.
