New angus calf

Got another view of the calf? NO, really, very VERY! nice. She is perfect 8) My Wife thinks you should call her Moon shine.

lol thanks
Yeah I went a little camera crazy but its my 1st calf.

I think I might name her Lillan, just kinda popped into my head

now I just need to think of a registered name.

On the angus web site it said if you did AI you had to own the bull or be a relative of the owner and get a signature. How does that work, I bought the semen?? I'm confused

I dont know where you bought the semen from but usually you can just contact them and get a breeding certificate, and they will send it to the Angus Association and you just have to send in the registration application.

If you AIed her using semen from some one else's bull, you'll need signed permission from the owner of the bull you used to register her. If you got the semen from ABS, GENEX, SELECT, etc., contact them for an AI certificate. If you bought it directly from the owner, contact him for the paperwork to register the calf. Congratulations on a nice baby.

Nice looking calf, but I have to ask....the pic from the "day before she calved" shows her having nothing for an udder. Are you sure your downloaded the right pic?

She really doesn't have the udder after the calf either. But you can register online as well have to open an account you can call registration department for further info

the day she calved was also the day she bagged up, Her bag wasn't very large but it was large enough when I went out to see her after the calf was born. The whole thing came as a suprise, I was expecting her to go atleast 2 more days after she started bagging up. I am going to go see her this eveing(she is at my teachers house) hopefully she is bagging up a bit more now.
