I used to operate a hydraulic Texoma Digger truck for a rural electric coop , I remember putting all the weight off the truck on the bit and raising the back tires off the ground. Sandy flint rock and clay, that was hard diggin
 
Well after driving around I didn't find a new cutting blade that looked like it would work I ordered it but in the meantime to get what I needed done. I took the advice from gus and took the blade off grinded it down so I could get the hole dug it worked great. If that didn't work HG I was going to use my head :lol2: It seems a rock was hit and it moved back too so I slid it up.The blade does look like you could flip it but where a rock may have hit it it was damaged.

I figured you'd catch that. You could of used a metal pole as your first ground rod and a place to mount the charger. I use a Tupperware box and mount the charger in it. Besides the holes in the bottom for ground and power line it's water proof.

That's a good idea. I may have to try that.

Tim,
We got a ton of rain puddles standing and all everywhere. I am digging the post holes for my calf corral im building. I will do it tomorrow or sunday.
