NET Hog Traps

I have been looking at them net hog traps, not a drop net, but the one where they crawl under then can't get back out. Anyone tried them or bought one. The price I am seeing is about 3000.00 if anyone knows of a cheaper one I would like to know

Neighbor has one I do not recommend!
Catch’s hogs pain in the ass to get them out and a lot of work to set up.
He is building one similar to mine.

A neighbor uses the gorilla net for doors. That woks well and does not spook the hogs if they get out. They come right back in a day or two.

what does the door look like. I got 14 that has moved in on me first ones sense I have owned this place for 15 yrs and several of them I think will top out over 300 lbs , some look more like tame hogs

On the Pig Brig website they have videos of the setup and use of the net trap. Its a good concept and it works, but there are a few concerns such as antlered bucks trying to get in to the bait and their antlers getting hung up in the net. I'd suggest placing and monitoring the trap with a cellular camera so you could respond and release any buck caught inadvertently. The cellular triggered traps are good and are very effective, but you have to be awake to see the hogs go inside and then trigger the gate to close. With these traps you can make sure all of the group are inside before triggering the gate. You will lose some sleep but accomplish your goal of removal of the entire group.
