Needle-Free Vaccinations?

I recall many years ago when they used those kinds of deals for giving flu shots. Also saw the results if the guy on the receiving end jerk away when it squirted. Nasty cut and a lot of blood. Hopefully in the last 40 years they've figured out a way around that.

I see you and I have been reading the same magazine! I want to watch how it works in person before I can comment on it. Never thought of what dun is talking about but that could be a nasty problem.

I can remember my ex husband talking about getting all of the shots he had to take before he went to Viet Nam being administered like this. He said if the medic's hand moved or the guy on the recieving end moved, it would really cut up the arm. I dunno...that picture burned into my mind when he told me about it...

they did something simular in the military, and it did more harm to the soldiers then anything. the power to penitrate cowhide would be concerning. you know how well cows stand still while in a headshute. i wonder what damage is being done to the muscle?

Some interesting responses.

Seems like it's good for prevention of things like the risk of having needles in the meat (among other things in the article), but like all you said, it might only cause more damage to the animal than necessary.

Unless they already are rigging something up on that to prevent that sort of thing happening...

We'll see what happens when it comes out, I guess.
