We would really appreciate all of your prayers right now. I'm just on my way to clear out our basement. They are calling for 2 inches of rain over the next 24 hours. We live on a river which is already high and overspilling. Two years ago we flooded, the result was a few dead calves and most of our fences gone. On top of that an underground river rose up under our house and split the basement floor letting in nearly 6 feet of water. Last year we flooded again and lost some fence and only 3 feet of water in the basement. This year I just don't know if I have the energy to deal with it all again. So please pray for our animals, for our house and just strength for us if we do flood again. Should get off the computer the lightning and thunder are all around us.

Victoria- We could be in the same situation in the next day or too...

Looks like Alberta, Sk., Montana, the Dakotas, Idaho and Wyoming could be in for another soaking....
This low moving in from the Pacific is supposed to stall out as a closed low over southern Montana and northern Wyo- sit and spin- and could dump lots of moisture....Predicting it will produce mostly thunderstorms (some SEVERE) for a day and then for it to turn into steady rain...

Weather boys say that many areas could get over 2 inches of rain in the next few days, as this front has ample moisture in it....Flood watches out for all northeast Mt. already because of all the streams and rivers being so high and the ground so saturated from all the previous rain....

Got the son to help today- and I hauled bulls out- a couple days early rather than get them flooded in down here on the river bottom...

Then they predict a nice weekend..

And then about Tuesday of next week another wet low moving in again following the same pattern

We'll be praying for you and thinking of you....

Victoria-- Are you surviving?

We just got a little rain, a little wind and lots of thunder and lightning last night....But some areas around us got more than an inch- with the Doppler radar showing one area around Eastend Sk. as getting up to 5 inches....What hit us is now over in Manitoba, Minnesota, and Iowa now...

Round 2 coming up this afternoon- with thunderstorm warnings already being issued-- 90% chance of moisture this afternoon and 100% chance of rain and heavy rain for tonight...

Winter storm and heavy snow warnings out for a big share of Western Montana for tonight......

Just got in from moving the cows. All are accounted for and safe. We have a stream that popped up during the flood two years ago that has never quite gone away, usually it is about ankle deep today it was over my hip waders in places. The river itself is huge. So far only about 1/2 inch rain, although they are calling for up to an inch more. The storm seems to be hitting Calgary a city north of us- about 35 minutes away. They are having huge flooding problems. Some roadways were getting over 4 feet of water in a flash flood, people were abandoning cars. Basements flooded. I feel so sorry for those people. They are still expected to get 1 and 1/2 inches of rain. Being the storm is so close we aren't letting our guard down. It is a different river system but it doesn't take much to move a storm that short of a distance.
Our boys should be happy though - today was castrating day and instead they got to go out. My freezer steer may have bought himself more time on this earth too. If we get the inch of rain there's no way I'll get a trailer out tomorrow.

I sure appreciate your prayers. Oldtimer, glad to know that you survived too. Let's hope we stay OK. Off to have my lunch.

You sure you're not in Texas?? :) Sounds like our weather.. :(
Stay safe..Best thoughts and prayers to all..

Thanks for the prayers. We are so far safe from any damage. The river is overflowing into the pastures but so far all fences are holding. If this is all we get this year, I will be a happy woman!!
